Meet Our New Board Members
The Greater Beloit Chamber of Commerce (GBCC), with a primary mission of enhancing the Greater Beloit Community by engaging with member businesses so that it can advocate for their collective success, is excited to welcome the following leaders to its board of directors:

Each of these individuals and their respective organizations exemplify the values held by the GBCC: leadership, acting with integrity, and a willingness to volunteer to benefit the greater good of our Community. All of us at the Chamber look forward to working with them!

Our new board members will help offset the loss of two board members, whose terms have come to an end. While their terms on the board have ended, I am sure that we all will continue to benefit as Julie Lewis of Lewis Law Office and Donna Spude of Fish Window Cleaning strive to move our community forward in other ways. Julie and Donna – a heartfelt “Thank You” for all that you have done over the years as key contributors to GBCC!
Finally, please join me in welcoming Seth Frisbee of Tricor Insurance as the new board chair. Seth has been an active and integral member of the board, and both GBCC and the members we serve look forward to a strong year ahead under your leadership!

City Administrator at City of South Beloit
Sonya was born and raising in the Stateline area, graduated from South Beloit High School in 1999. Go Sobos! Most of her career has been with youth development, staff training in the Stateline and Rockford Boys & Girls Club, City of Beloit Parks & Recreation Department, and the Beloit College Powerhouse. She believes in everything that the Greater Beloit Chamber of Commerce means to our community. Three is opportunity for growth, learning and thriving together. She hopes she can add to that force and gain a network of neighbors.
She loves the area and loves the people and has seen this area through the bleak times and stood proud as the community has picked themselves up by the bootstraps. She’s enjoyed serving in many capacities and looks forward to this new partnership. Se has a love and passion for the residents, business owners and guests. Sonya serves on the GBCC Advocacy committee. She has served two terms on the South Beloit City Council – but has never run for office! Her favorite restaurant is Captain’s Galley and her hometown is South Beloit, IL.
Jen Hall
President/CEO at Greater Beloit Economic Development Corporation
Jen began her new position as the President/CEO of Greater Beloit Economic Development Corporation and Director of Economic Development for the City of Beloit in Jan 2021. She was most recently the VP of Government Relations for Mercyhealth. Prior to that she had her own consulting firm providing economic and community development services as well as helping entrepreneurs start businesses and helping mid-large size businesses grow.
She believes it’s important for the Chamber and the Economic development councils to work closely together to attract new business, support existing businesses in growth, providing a high quality of life to the community and building a workforce from within. She hopes to help grow the Chamber and assist our local businesses. Jen serves on the GBCC Business Education committee. She currently resides in Loves Park, IL and her hometown is Rockford.
Tim Wellnitz
Town Administrator at Town of Beloit
Tim had been looking for a transition to a municipal administrator position in the area for some time and is grateful this opportunity became available. He has lived in Rock County his entire life except for when he was away at school. He has a bachelor’s degree in public policy & administration and a law degree. Prior to his position, he was the Assistant City Attorney for the City of Janesville for nearly 13 years.
He previously held positions in WI state government and served for 4 years as a Janesville City Council member, including a term as City Council President. He says it’s important that the Town of Beloit be represented and involved in the Greater Beloit community. Tim brings analytical and organization skills to the board and is team oriented. He’d like to learn as much as he can about current issues and continue to expand his network in the Greater Beloit community. Tim also serves on the GBCC Board of Governance committee. He has been a Packers season ticket holder for over 25 years. Go Pack Go!
Nommo Donald
Vice President, Beloit Health System
Nommo was recently required to the Beloit Health System by Tim McKevett and relocated to the area in 2021. Her background is in Hospital/Healthcare Administration. She is a huge advocate for community engagement and see’s the Greater Beloit Chamber as the life line of the community. She brings management experience, process improvement and organizational dynamic skills to the board.
Her goal is to support the great work of the Chamber through empowerment of others being involved with our local chamber and supporting the community to thrive and grow. Nommo also serves on the Board of Governance committee. She used to sing in a professional gospel choir and makes great fried chicken!
Kydreel Green
Maintenance Manager, Alliant Energy
Kydreel (KG) accepted the position as the Maintenance Manager with Alliant Energy and has been in the community since March 2021. He served 13 years active-duty US Coast Guard as a Machinery Technician. Since 2015, he has worked in power generation within maintenance, starting as a supervisor in mechanical maintenance to his current position.
He joined the GBCC board to be part of the change that is occurring in the community. He brings leadership and a wealth of knowledge in the power generation field to the board. He hopes to educate the community about Alliant Energy and be a valuable board member. His career goal was to become a Physical Therapist with a focus in Sports Medicine but he choose a different route while in the Coast Guard where he found his love for heavy machinery repair. KG is originally from New Orleans and his favorite restaurant is Deanies Seafood New Orleans
