Susan Day, Executive Director at Hendricks Career Tek
Susan Day was born and raised in Beloit, where she attended schools in the School District of Beloit. After graduating from high school, she pursued her education at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, earning both a BSE and MSE in Elementary Education. Upon completing her studies, she returned to Beloit, where she married her husband and together raised their three children. Their sons and daughter all are graduates of Beloit Memorial High School and UW Madison alumni.
Susan’s teaching career spanned 28 years in elementary education, 21 of which were dedicated to the School District of Beloit. After a brief year away from teaching, she realized how much she missed working with students and contributing to her community. This led her to Hendricks CareerTek, where she initially joined as a part-time assistant before advancing to the role of Career Development Director. Over the past eight years, Susan has built invaluable experiences and connections within the community.
Now serving as Executive Director of CareerTek, Susan is excited to continue her lifelong passion for making a difference in the lives of Beloit’s youth. She leads a dedicated team of educators, fostering strong relationships within the Greater Beloit area. Susan finds great fulfillment in supporting young people through career exploration opportunities and workforce readiness skills, helping them build successful futures as engaged and productive citizens.
