Dear Greater Beloit Chamber of Commerce Investors, I’m honored (and honestly pretty pumped) to serve as your Board Chair for the Greater Beloit Chamber of Commerce. Before we dive into what’s ahead, a big shoutout to our past chair, Nommo Zuri Donald. Her steady leadership and commitment to our mission helped guide the board through one of our biggest moments— selecting our new CEO. And speaking of our new CEO—if you’ve spent any time around the Chamber, Kari Swirth needs no introduction. Kari practically is the definition of an engaged Chamber Investor. Her passion, energy, and vision will lead us boldly into the future—alongside the incredible Madysen Wade and Adia Cecil, who absolutely crushed it steering the ship during our leadership transition. (If you saw them juggling all those moving pieces, you know they made it look way too easy.) The GBCC’s heartbeat is connection. With nearly 400 investors strong, we’re constantly creating spaces to meet, collaborate, and yes— occasionally compete for the best raffle prize. Whether it’s Business After Hours, Beyond Breakfast, or Lunch and Learns, our events make it easy to grow your network and your business. And those sold-out hits like the Annual Dinner, Golf Classic, and Taste of the Chamber? That’s where the magic (and maybe a few friendly rivalries) really happen. Now, I know what you’re thinking: “All they do is eat, drink, and play.” But trust me—your GBCC Board of Directors is a working board. We roll up our sleeves (and sometimes our pant legs at the golf course) to make sure the Chamber stays vibrant, relevant, and deeply rooted in the community. This team comes from all corners of Beloit’s business world, reflecting the energy and diversity that make our community thrive. And let’s not forget our unstoppable Chamber Ambassadors, that sea of crimson you see at every event. They’re everywhere—welcoming, cheering, connecting. Our Rising Professionals are shaping the next generation of GBCC leadership, proving that involvement isn’t just for seasoned pros; it’s for anyone ready to grow, lead, and give back. I’m excited to continue building on the strong foundation that’s already here—and to make a real impact alongside each of you. So here’s my challenge: attend an event, join a committee, sponsor something, support your fellow investors—and most importantly, Bet on Beloit!
